The rally:

Rally Finland has been part of Finnish national rallying since the 1950s and has been on the World Rally Championship calendar since 1973. The rally takes place in Central Finland around Jyväskylä, which is also home to the service park as well as the start and finish.

Getting there:

The Rallytravels transfer departs on Wednesday, 28 July 2027 at 16:00 from the bus station at Helsinki Airport and takes you to our bungalows or the hotel in Himos near Jämsä (arrival approx. 19:00). The return transfer on Monday, 2 August, arrives at Helsinki Airport at around 10:00.

Your accommodation:

For more than 24 years, the Himos holiday resort has been our home, and we stay in the traditional way in modern Finnish log cabins. There are different types of bungalows (descriptions are available on our website). All bungalows have fully equipped kitchens, most have a sauna, and some can be booked with a hot tub for an extra charge. After an action-packed rally day, enjoy the evening with your friends on the veranda. The lake is just a short walk away.

Himos also offers rooms for single and double occupancy. They are simple and a little dated, but clean and equipped with everything you need for a rally trip. The rooms are close to the lake – ideal for anyone who likes an evening or early-morning swim.

New since 2026: The Break Sokos Hotel Himos is located on the Himos grounds. Apartments that come close to suite standard and an excellent restaurant ensure a pleasant stay with very high standards of both quality and sustainability.

Good to know:

Coaches: We travel with Pohjolanmatka coaches, who have accompanied us for many years and whose regular drivers we know well. At most special stages, we have parking reserved especially for Rallytravels, right at the stage or only a few hundred metres away.

Food and drink: For self-caterers, we stop at a supermarket 1 - 2 times during rally week. The bungalows have a fully equipped kitchen. In Himos, there are restaurants close to the bungalows and hotel rooms. At the stages, you will always find kiosks run by local sports clubs selling food and drinks.

Equipment: We recommend always taking a backpack with the essential drinks and snacks to the stages. Small folding camping chairs are always very popular with our guests.

Our guests come from all over the world, mostly from Sweden, Austria, Norway, Germany and France. Information on site is provided in Swedish, German, English and French.

Your Rallytravels team:

Our Rallytravels guides have all caught the rally bug and each work in one role or another in the world of rallying. This makes them well qualified to answer your questions too. The core crew are Per Carlsson and Claudia Bidlas, who are on every trip. When needed, they are supported by Miriam Walfridsson, Cathi Schmidt, Marc Hermes, Roger “Turbo” Turesson and Martin Rigl.

Our services include the Rallytravels app, which keeps you up to date with news and results during the rally.
